Spot On is still publicly listed: its US iPhone App Store page and Planned Parenthood Direct product page both returned current content when checked on 19 October 2026.[11][40] That establishes a live listing and publisher page, not a successful installation or proof that every runtime feature works.

We are lilMONSTER, the maker of lilCycles. This is our comparison, not an independent review. The Spot On app is App Store ID 1039914781, listed by Planned Parenthood Direct, Inc.[11] We did not install it or test reminders.

A different reason to choose each app

QuestionlilCyclesSpot On
Core recordsPeriod, mood and strength sessions.[57]Advertises flow, symptoms, mood and activities.[11][40]
Reminder workflowOur supplied facts do not establish a birth-control reminder program.[57]Documents reminders for supported contraceptive methods.[40]
Data modelNo app account or cloud sync; on-device app data.[57]Publisher says entries are saved to the device and cloud backup.[40]
OfferPlus subscriptions are available.[57]The reviewed US listing is free.[11]

Spot On's publisher specifically describes pill, patch, ring, shot, IUD and implant tracking, with reminders appropriate to the chosen method.[40] If remembering an established contraceptive routine is your main requirement, that documented workflow is a meaningful reason to explore Spot On. Do not assume a cycle diary duplicates it.

Reminding you about contraception is not contraception itself

This comparison does not validate calendar predictions for preventing pregnancy or establish that Spot On's forecasts are a cleared contraceptive device. We are comparing recording and reminder functions, not efficacy.

lilCycles is an 18+ wellness tracker, not contraception. Its phase guidance is labelled "not medical advice".[57] Do not replace a contraceptive method with a lilCycles prediction. Follow your method's current instructions and ask a qualified health professional about missed doses or pregnancy-prevention decisions.

Spot On's product page qualifies period predictions to people with regular periods and describes optional fertile-window features.[40] We do not remove those qualifications or turn them into a guarantee for every cycle.

Read the backup statement carefully

Spot On says it does not store personal information itself, while saying information is saved directly to the device and cloud backup.[40] Those two boundaries should be read together. "Not held by the app provider" is not the same claim as "no cloud copies anywhere."

We have not audited Spot On's backup destination, encryption, telemetry or account-free first-run behavior. A publisher privacy statement is not an independent network test. This article makes no allegation of data sales or inadequate security.

lilCycles has no ads, analytics SDK or tracking, and provides an encrypted backup/export archive.[57] Its "Delete all local data" control does not erase samples already written to Apple Health.[57] Treat backup files and connected destinations as separate copies when deciding what to remove.

Choose the workflow, then check it on your device

Explore Spot On if you want its documented birth-control reminders and reproductive-health resources; the listing also describes access to a health-educator chat/text resource.[11][40] Consider lilCycles if its no-account period, mood and strength-session workflow is the record you want to maintain.[57]

Does a live listing prove it works in my country?

No. We verified the public US listing, not installation, regional access or notification delivery. Confirm the app is offered in your storefront and test reminders before relying on them.

Is this a price comparison?

Only the documented offer structures are identified: Spot On's reviewed listing is free and lilCycles offers Plus subscriptions.[11][57] We do not calculate a value score or pretend they include identical features.
