"Period Tracker" is not one unique product. This article covers Period Tracker by GP Apps, US App Store ID 330376830.[51] Our separate Period Calendar comparison concerns a different app and must not be used as evidence about this one.

We are lilMONSTER, maker of lilCycles. This is our comparison, not an independent review. We checked the GP Apps listing on 19 October 2026 and did not install the app or test its backups, exports or predictions.

What each documented workflow offers

NeedlilCyclesPeriod Tracker by GP Apps
Daily recordsPeriod, mood and strength sessions.[57]Advertises period dates, notes, symptoms, moods, weight and temperature.[51]
Custom categoriesOur supplied facts do not establish custom symptom fields.[57]Advertises custom symptoms and moods.[51]
RecoveryEncrypted backup/export archive; no app cloud sync.[57]Advertises an online backup/restore account across platforms.[51]
Taking records elsewhereEncrypted archive and dedicated-calendar export.[57]Advertises emailing period dates and notes.[51]

GP Apps also lists charts, Touch ID/passcode protection, pregnancy content and HealthKit support.[51] These are reasons to explore it if they match your routine, not features to dismiss because lilCycles has a different scope. The listing does not establish identical access in every tier or storefront.

Recovery and local storage solve different problems

An online recovery account may be a benefit if losing a device is your main concern. GP Apps expressly advertises that route.[51] We did not test its availability, security controls or restoration completeness.

lilCycles has no app account, ads, analytics SDK or cloud sync.[57] It may fit an account-free requirement, but you still need a recovery plan for your exported archive. We do not claim that local storage is universally safer or that GP Apps sells personal records; this comparison did not audit its data flows.

Before switching, check whether an export preserves the dates and notes you need. An emailed history and a restorable archive are different outputs. We have not verified direct migration between these products.

Predictions are not contraceptive instructions

The GP Apps listing explicitly warns that forecasts may be inaccurate and should not be used to prevent unwanted pregnancy.[51] lilCycles is likewise not contraception; it is an 18+ wellness tracker with phase guidance labelled "not medical advice".[57] This article makes no diagnosis, fertility-benefit or relative-accuracy claim.

Which should I shortlist?

Explore GP Apps for its advertised custom symptom records, charts and online backup.[51] Consider lilCycles for its period, mood and strength-session combination without an app account.[57] Choose the record and recovery route you need rather than the shortest app name.

Does deleting lilCycles remove my Health history?

No. Local deletion does not remove samples it has already written to Apple Health. Its HealthKit integration is write-only.[57] Manage Health and exported copies separately.
