Maya's current iPhone listing goes beyond a period calendar: it advertises pregnancy milestones, a health community, backup and multi-device sync.[8] lilCycles' verified scope is period, mood and strength-session logging, cycle predictions and wellness phase guidance, with no app account or cloud sync.[57]

We make lilCycles. This is a lilMONSTER comparison, not an independent review. We checked Maya's US iOS listing, App Store ID 492534636, on 19 October 2026.[8] We did not install Maya or test its offline, backup or prediction behavior. Published feature descriptions are not head-to-head measurements.

The everyday trade-offs

RequirementlilCyclesMaya
Period recordsPeriod logging and cycle predictions.[57]Advertises cycle estimates, history, statistics and reminders.[8]
Other recordsMood and strength sessions.[57]Advertises notes, weight, temperature and symptom records.[8]
Broader contentWellness phase guidance.[57]Advertises pregnancy tips/milestones and a health community.[8]
Recovery across devicesNo app cloud sync; encrypted backup/export archive.[57]Advertises backup and sync to multiple devices.[8]

Maya's listing also describes password/biometric locking and says "vital features" work without data through smart sync.[8] That wording does not establish that every feature works offline. We did not test which screens or synchronization actions need a connection.

Sync can be a benefit you want

If you actively want to recover history on another device, Maya's advertised sync is a reason to investigate it.[8] Do not treat a connected feature as a defect simply because lilCycles takes a different approach.

If your requirement is to keep the tracker's app storage on-device without an app login, lilCycles meets that verified scope.[57] However, no cloud sync means you should plan your own recovery around its exported archive rather than assume a provider account will restore everything.

We did not establish Maya's complete account, server-processing or analytics model from the listing. That is an evidence gap, not proof that it collects a particular data category or lacks a privacy safeguard. We make no allegation about data sales or unlawful conduct.

Keep forecasts in their proper role

Maya advertises period and fertility/ovulation estimates.[8] This article does not validate those estimates as contraception, establish a medical-device status or reproduce a claim of improved health outcomes. A store description is not a comparative clinical study.

lilCycles is an 18+ wellness app, not contraception. Its phase guidance is labelled "not medical advice".[57] Choose a diary for the records you want to maintain; ask a qualified clinician about symptoms, diagnosis or contraceptive methods.

Check the actual offer before you pay

Maya describes optional Premium subscriptions with monthly or annual billing.[8] lilCycles Plus has weekly, monthly and yearly options, with a seven-day free trial on yearly.[57] We do not quote amounts or declare either app cheaper. Read the feature access, eligibility and renewal terms shown in your own storefront.

Which should I choose for community or pregnancy content?

Maya explicitly advertises those workflows.[8] Investigate them if they are central to your choice. The supplied lilCycles facts do not establish an equivalent community or pregnancy program.[57]

Can I transfer my Maya backup directly into lilCycles?

We did not verify that route. lilCycles' encrypted archive does not establish compatibility with another app's backup.[57] Preserve the original record and test any transfer before deleting history.
